Foreign Direct Investment to reach record-breaking levels

According to the Romanian Agency for Foreign Investments, the volume of foreign direct capital drawn by the economy in the January-June period of 2008 stood at more than 4.75 billion euro, this is a major increase when taking into consideration the amount of FDI during the same period in 2007 was 3.5 billion euro.

Romania thus maintains and consolidates its top position in South-East Europe when it comes to drawing foreign direct investments.

During the 1st half of this year Romania has managed to draw 62.6% of the region’s estimated total annual foreign direct investments.
